Ruth Piper- Images

All begins with an image.

Of a young man having lunch in the company of his Smartphone.

Of a sleepy Parisian avenue on an early spring morning.

Of a cat's lunch generously served by a neighbor.

However, this is only the beginning.

Then arrives the story. The one that the artist tells himself while painting, the one imagined

by the viewer, probably never the same.

"There was no idea, I only thought of an image", said René Magritte.

To each his own.

Ruth Piper studied with Parisian hyperrealistic painter Georges Faget Bénard and participated in collective exhibitions, most recently at the Salon des artistes français 2011 in the Grand Palais Museum of Paris
